Who we are

Bananabytes builds software products for businesses with an AI crew, checked by people. These terms are between your business and Bananabytes.

You own the code

You own the code we write for you from day one, including every change after that. We do not reuse your code for other customers.

Hosting

By default we host your product for you on a managed plan: your code, your database and your website.

Whenever you ask, we move the code, the database and the hosting into your own accounts, with notes on how it all fits together.

How we build

We work in milestones. Each milestone has a written scope and a price, shown in your proposal.

You approve each plan before we build it, and you say go live before anything is released. A Bananabytes reviewer gives the final check.

While we build and test, we only use made-up test data. Please do not send us real customer or patient data during the build.

Payment

You pay for each milestone in advance, before the crew starts it. Prices are in Indian rupees for customers in India and US dollars for everyone else.

Indian invoices include GST. Invoices to customers outside India are exports of services and carry no Indian GST.

Where your data lives

For customers in India, your product's data is stored in India. For customers in the US, it is stored in the US.

Liability

PLACEHOLDER: liability limits to be set by our lawyer. Draft position: our total liability is capped at the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim.

Governing law

For customers in India: the laws of India, with courts in Bengaluru.

For customers in the US: PLACEHOLDER, to be set by our US lawyer.
